E120. Determination of nitrobenzene impurities in technical aniline is carried out by polarography on a mercury dropping electrode of alcohol solutions.
When analyzing standard solutions, the volume of which was 20 cm3, the following were obtained:
The concentration of nitrobenzene, g / dm3; 0.006 0.012 0.018 0.030
Wave height, mm: 10 19.7 29 50
1.0000 g of the test aniline was dissolved in a volumetric flask with a capacity of 50 cm3, 5 cm3 was taken for analysis, the volume was brought up to 20 cm3 and the polarogram was removed under the same conditions as when working with standard solutions.
The wave height was equal to 16 mm. Determine the mass fraction of nitrobenzene.
