Zaitsev purchased a refrigerator in the office equipment store located in Moscow in which technical problems were discovered. Having found out that the store is a branch of OJSC Soyuz located in St. Petersburg, Zaitsev went to court at the location of the store with a lawsuit to replace the faulty refrigerator. As a defendant, Zaitsev’s statement of claim indicated the office equipment store.
